Upload a certificate to the Salesforce organization
Uploading a certificate to the Salesforce organization establishes secure communication and authentication between Salesforce and your tenant in Veritas Alta SaaS Protection. A certificate-based OAuth Authentication with Salesforce organizations happens through the Connected app. The certificate is linked to the Connected app that is added for Veritas Alta SaaS Protection, providing a secure way to request and access Salesforce data and metadata with the user's consent.
Remember the following points regarding certificate upload:
After finalizing the connector creation, upload the certificate to the targeted Salesforce organization.
Always assign the latest generated certificate for authentication to work seamlessly.
If the
option is accidentally clicked, a new certificate is generated. In such cases, replace the existing certificate with the newly generated one. If the connector configuration is updated, you need to re-upload a certificate.
To upload a certificate to the Salesforce organization
- Access the web portal of the targeted Salesforce organization.
- Upload the generated certificate.
