Adding EML/Messages connectors
To add an EML/Messages connector
- Access the Administration portal.
The home page of the Administration portal is displayed.
- Click Administration.
- On the left, click Connectors.
- Click + New Connector.
The New Connector page is displayed.
- On the New Connector page, click EML/Message file and then click Next.
- Configure the general settings such as the name, the storage to store the backed-up data, and so on.
- On the Capture scope page, do the following:
Click Eml or Msg.
Eml: Click this option to back up the .EML files from the source.
Msg: Click this option to back up the .Msg files from the source.
Select the following options as required.
Use sender and recipients for ACL
Select this check box to override the parent folder ACL with SMTP permission of the sender and recipient.
Use Subject as Item name
Select this check box to back up the emails using the subject of the email.
If this check box is not enabled, the email gets ingested based on the actual file name. It is recommended to enable this option.
Restrict the backup scope to specific required folders only.
- Click Next.
- Configure the next schedule for backup.
- Click Next.
- On the Review page, review the configuration. Save or run the connector.
The job is added. Go to the Connectors page to view the added connector.
