Configure a SharePoint connection using the Modern/OAuth authentication
To configure a SharePoint connection using the Modern/OAuth authentication
- On the Export Utility UI, select Single SharePoint Site Collection from the Export To dropdown list.
- Click the hamburger icon next to Export To.
- On the Configure export destination window, click the hamburger icon next to SharePoint Connection.
- On the Configure SharePoint connection window, do the following:
Display Name
Enter a name for the connection.
General tab
Select the SharePoint Online check box for O365. For SharePoint on Premise, clear this check box.
Click Use O365 Default.
The Admin Site URL field populates with the admin URL. Update the <company> section accordingly. For SharePoint on Premise, enter the appropriate URL.
Note:
The Admin Site URL will not be required for Discovery case restore.
CSOM Credentials tab
From the CSOM Authentication Mode dropdown list, select Modern/OAuth.
Click Add.
On the Credential Properties window, enter Client ID and Client Secret, which are generated during application registration in Azure.
Click OK.
Group/Team Credentials tab
Select the Enable Group/Team Awareness check box.
Enter details.
Click OK.
The newly created connection is listed in the SharePoint Connection dropdown list.
Click OK.
