Modifying the Oracle database user passwords
Use the following utilities to modify passwords for the Oracle database user Portal. These instructions apply only to user portal.
Linux: /opt/aptare/utils/changeDBPassword.sh
Windows: C:\opt\aptare\utils\changeDBPassword.bat
Note:
The new password should not have the following characters:
Double Quotes '"'.
Back Slash '/'.
Blank space ' '.
Back Tick '`'
Note:
If CyberArk feature is enabled, do not modify Oracle database password.

Complete these steps to modify passwords for the Oracle database user. These instructions apply to users aptare_ro and system. Replace user_name with the relevant user.
Log in with root access.
Stop the portal and data receiver Tomcat services.
Change the user password.
At the command line, execute the following commands:
su - aptare sqplplus / as sysdba SQL> alter user <user_name> identified by <new_password>; SQL> commit; WHERE: user_name = portal, aptare_ro or system new_password = new password
For example:
SQL> alter user portal identified by newportalpass;
Follow the instructions in the following section to update the portal configuration files with the new passwords.
