How to identify warning signs of suspicious activity
If the person interacting with you regarding a job posting or employment offer uses an email alias to communicate.
If the communications are unprofessional: poor grammar, spelling errors, wrong logo, etc.
If asked to provide financial information such as a credit card number or bank account information. Veritas never asks for financial information.
If told you will receive a check to purchase equipment for your home office.
If asked to deposit a check, buy a gift card, and/or call them with the gift card number so they can use a “third-party vendor” to send you the equipment.
If checks are not from a Veritas account.
If presented with an offer of employment after minimal interviews. Veritas conducts thorough interviews and uses a formal offer process.
