Karthik Ramamurthy leads the team responsible for Veritas’ transformation into a subscription-based Cloud and SaaS company.
As a member of the Veritas Leadership Team, Karthik is chartered with advancing the company’s ongoing transformation. His organization is comprised of both the Subscription and Cloud Transformation Offices, as well as the operational functions that underpin them, including IT, Information Security, Cloud Operations, Workplace Services, Program Management, and Global Shared Services.
Karthik has 20 years of industry experience in engineering and product management, building storage and availability products across multiple companies including NetApp, EMC/Isilon, and Symantec.
Most recently, Karthik led the Subscription Transformation Office responsible for transitioning Veritas to a subscription business model. Prior to that, Karthik spent two years leading Veritas’ Appliances and Software-defined Storage Product Management team and portfolio. During that time, he drove the development and delivery of Veritas’ product strategy and was also responsible for corporate-level technical alliances with companies like AWS, Microsoft, VMware, Google, Nutanix, and Pure Storage.
Karthik holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Pune, India and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Davis.
