2020 has been a year of change. Of resilience. Of adaptation. The world has led us to rely on data more than we ever have before, as work structures are redefined, communications evolve, and humanity adjusts to the unexpected. But some things haven’t changed. Our commitment and support to our customers and partners haven’t changed. Our dedication to empower enterprises around the world to harness the value of their data hasn’t changed. I am thrilled to share that for the 15th consecutive time, Gartner Inc. has named Veritas a Leader in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions1.

Change compels us to reassess priorities—doing so makes us realize what really matters. To our lives, to our businesses, to the world in which we live. And when it comes to business, the value of data has also changed: it has now become an essential need.

At Veritas, we believe in delivering value beyond what’s essential, so our products endure and respond to our customers’ everchanging needs with the utmost agility. Over the past three decades, we have established ourselves as pioneers within the Data Management world and have leveraged our expertise to deliver robustness and reliability through our product portfolio. We have reached the point where confidence meets know-how.

We are continuing to lead the way through our Enterprise Data Services Platform (EDSP), addressing the three key areas of Availability, Protection, and Insights. EDSP is built with NetBackup at its core, supporting 800+ data sources, 1400+ storage targets, and 60+ clouds and Disaster Recovery Orchestration—and deployable in any form factor. Through continued product innovation, resilience, and a user-focused approach, EDSP is the most versatile platform available to enterprises today and represents the perfect IT foundation.

At Veritas, we continue to pave the way into data management innovation, guided by these intentions:

Any offering supporting today’s modern enterprise—including 87 percent of the Global Fortune 500—must be designed to be always-on and easy-to-use, providing intuitive user experiences, relevant, rich features, and attention to on-demand scalability.

As our customers’ data management needs evolve, we are focusing our efforts on developing the tools to help them succeed—even within the most heterogeneous data environments. We’re advancing our capabilities to protect data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments while developing robust resilience delivered through NetBackup.

NetBackup’s integrated cloud connectors offer simple, seamless access to multi-cloud support across almost any cloud platform with leading public and private cloud storage providers, including AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, and S3 compatible storage. We also integrate with every on-premise solution to round out our private and hybrid-cloud integrations, including partnerships with Nutanix, Pure Storage, and VMware.

The NetBackup solution portfolio goes beyond data protection, empowering customers to meet the most stringent SLAs on-prem and in hybrid multi-cloud environments while providing a near 100% backup and recovery success—because data availability and resilience are instrumental for the success of modern enterprises today. And NetBackup is not just backup and recovery—it’s the core component of our Enterprise Data Services Platform.

But there’s more. Innovation in protection and availability is as important as delivering reliable data insight. Uncovering value in data empowers smart decisions, resource optimization, and organic growth. With APTARE IT Analytics, within the Enterprise Data Services Platform, organizations can gain visibility into their most complex environments through predictive analytics and derive greater value from their data in every facet of the enterprise.

From all of us at Veritas Technologies—it’s an honor to be named a Leader in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Center Backup and Recovery Solutions, 15 times in a row.
