"One or more arguments are invalid" error occurs when attempting to create a Backup-to-Disk (B2D) Folder on the Backup Exec Storage or Devices Tab.

Solution

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
 

 
1. Make sure the destination hard disk is not heavily fragmented and has plenty of free space available.
 

 
2. The account that Backup Exec Services are running under has full administrative rights to the volume.
 

 
3. Confirm all of the Backup Exec Services are running under the correct account.
 

 

4. Run the Backup Exec Backup-to-Disk Test Tool to check with basic functionality.
