The Web server user/group settings for a NetBackup master server may cause a failure if using a space.

Problem

The NetBackup install may fail if the web server user or group contains a space in the name.

03-19-2018,16:11:42 : NetBackup Web management console service did not start. Returning with error.

Cause

There's a problem with 'spaces' in the NetBackup setup scripts.

Solution

Use the default nbwebsvc (user) and nbwebgrp (group).

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue is currently scheduled to be addressed in the next major revision of the product.
