Collecting support logs
You can collect support logs available for deployed Resiliency Managers, Infrastructure Management Servers, and Replication Gateways.
To collect support logs
- Navigate
Logs (navigation pane)
- Select the Support tab.
- Select one or more Resiliency Managers, Infrastructure Management Servers, and Replication Gateways from where support logs need to be collected.
- Click on Gather logs option to launch the wizard.
- On the Gather logs wizard you can see different log options with Collect logs for the last number of days checkbox.
For Resiliency Manager, you have following options:
a. Basic logs
b. Full logs
c. Core logs
d. Database
For Infrastructure Management Server, you have following options:
a. Basic logs
b. Full logs
For Replication Gateway, you have following options:
a. Full logs
For Hosts, you have following options:
a. Logs
If the Collect logs for the last number of days checkbox is selected along with log options mentioned in step 5 for the appliances, Full logs and Database options available for Resiliency Manager and Infrastructure Management Server are not applicable. You can also see the icon beside these options when you select the checkbox with the log options.
- Click Submit to start the collection process.
Upon submitting the wizard, a workflow is started which performs the necessary actions on the selected servers. You can view the workflow status using the Activities view.
Once the log collection is successfully completed, the view the details of the newly available log bundle.
Note:
While collecting large size logs, using Klish menu the loggather process will take more than expected time, then due to session timeout this operation will not be completed successfully. Hence, try loggather from Resiliency Manager UI.
See Gather support logs from Resiliency Platform user interface.
