DESCRIPTION
Note:
This command only applies to the Veritas Velocity physical appliance.
Use this command to monitor hardware health and events on the appliance. To exit some of the monitoring commands, you need to press q or Ctrl+C.
OPTIONS
The following commands and options are available under Main > Monitor > Hardware:
- ShowComponents
Use this option to view the appliance hardware components, such as the compute node and the storage shelves, and the sub-components that are associated with those devices: Fan, disk, temperature, etc.
- ShowErrors
Use this option to view the errors that are related to the various hardware components of the appliance.
- ShowHealth
This option displays the performance and status of various hardware components of the appliance and the attached storage.
Note:
The [Item] parameter is optional. If you do not enter a value for the [Item] parameter, the data is displayed for all of the items that are associated with the hardware component.
Use the Hardware ShowHealth Appliance [Item] command to view the performance and status of a specific hardware item of the appliance. You can select any of the following items:
All/Fan/CPU/Disk/Fibrechannel/RAID/Power/Temperature/Product/PCI/ Network/Firmware/Partition/Connection/StorageStatus/DIMM
Use the Hardware ShowHealth PrimaryShelf [Item] command to view the performance and status of a specific hardware item of the Primary Storage Shelf. You can select any of the following items:
All/Fan/Disk/Power/Temperature/Product/Firmware/BBU/Controller /Volume/VolumeGroup/Connection
Use the Hardware ShowHealth ExpansionShelf [TrayID] [Item] command to view the performance and status of a specific hardware item of an Expansion Storage Shelf. You can select any of the following items: All/Fan/Disk/Power/Temperature/Product/Volume/VolumeGroup.
The [TrayID] is optional and is the ID of a specific expansion shelf that is attached to the appliance. To check the expansion shelf IDs, use the Main > Monitor > Hardware ShowComponents command.
