Setting the host name for the Velocity physical appliance
Note:
The host name can only be set during the appliance initial configuration. After you finish configuring the appliance storage, the host name becomes permanent. After that, you can only change the host name if you factory reset the appliance.
To set the appliance host name
- Log on to the Velocity shell menu.
- From the Main_Menu > Network view, type the following command to set the host name:
Hostname Set <hostname>
Where <hostname> is the short host name or the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) for the appliance.
