Deleting the default retention period for a database source

You can delete the retention period if you want to keep a source's database copies. If you delete the retention period for a database source, the current retention period that is set for existing database copies does not change. However, you can change or delete the retention for the database copies individually. Any database copies created after you delete the retention period for the database source are retained and do not expire. You must manually delete new database copies to remove them from the Velocity Storage Server.

To delete the retention period for a database source

From the Velocity Cloud Console, in the left pane, click Database Sources.
Select the row that the database source appears on, and then click Details.
Click Manage Retention.
Click Delete Retention.
Click Delete to confirm that you want to delete the retention period.
