- Getting help
Setting retention on a directory path does not work from the Veritas Access command-line interface
If you set retention on any directory path using the Storage> fs retention set <absolute directory path> command from the Veritas Access command-line interface, the command fails.
For example :
Storage> fs retention set /vx/test_fs/
Where /vx/test_fs/ is the directory path.
This is because of an internal issue. But, it is possible to set retention individually on the files present in a particular directory.
Workaround:
Set retention on the files present in the directory by using the Storage> fs retention set <absolute file path> command.
Storage> fs retention set /vx/test_fs/file1
Where /vx/test_fs/file1 is the file path.
