- Getting help
A functionality of Veritas Access works from the master node but does not work from the slave node
This issue occurs when any of the operating system-specific configuration files are not as per the Veritas Access requirements. For example, if the nsswitch.conf
file on a slave node is not the same as the file on the master node, the slave node does not follow the verification order for authentication. This causes authentication of users from the slave node to fail. This issue applies to all the protocols that are dependent on the nsswitch.conf
such as, CIFS, NFS, FTP, and iSCSI.
IA-14735
Workaround:
Restart the slave node on which the functionality does not work.
