Configuring Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager web server to authenticate client certificate
You can configure Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager web server to authenticate client certificate on the UNIX as well as Windows server.
Pre-requisite
OpenSSL should be installed on the Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager CMS.
To configure Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager web server to authenticate client certificate on a UNIX server
- Stop the web server.
/opt/VRTSsfmcs/bin/vomsc --stop web
- Modify
/opt/VRTSsfmcs/webgui/tomcat/conf/server.xml
as follows:Set clientAuth="true" in the connector section.
Add truststoreFile="${vom.webgui.install.dir}/tomcat/cert/.keystore" truststorePass="changeit"
keystorePass="changeit" after clientAuth="true".
Note:
The password must be the same as keystore password.
Add <Opensslpath path="/usr/bin/openssl">
</Opensslpath> after the </Host> tag.
- Start the web server.
/opt/VRTSsfmcs/bin/vomsc --start web
- Get the client certificate from the CA in
pkcs12
format which the browsers understand. - Import the certificate which is obtained in step 4 in the browser.
- Use this certificate for authentication while accessing the VIOM console.
To configure Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager web server to authenticate client certificate on a WIndows server.
All the steps are same as for UNIX web server with the following changes:
- Replace the forward slash / with a backslash \ in the command path.
