NetBackup IT Analytics is enhanced to persist the details of offline host of HP 3PAR data collection.

SC-57531

Resolves an issue with HP 3PAR data collection. NetBackup IT Analytics was not able to persist the short data collection details even if the 3PAR_DISABLE_LONG_COLLECTION parameter was set to Y.

SC-58073

The EMC data domain storage in NetBackup IT Analytics now supports collecting Physical Capacity Measurement (PCM) for each mtree. This feature allows calculation of accurate physical disk utilization.

You can also create a RTD report for PCM per mtree using the apt_v_ddm_pcm_mtree_compression_log SQL view.

Note:

Ensure that you have data domain version 5.7 and above supported to utilize this feature.

The HP Data Protector from the Backup Manager is enhanced to persist the following new columns in apt_job:

  • dedup_size_kb: Backup size with deduplication in kb

  • scanned_size_kb: Backup Scanned Size without deduplication in kb

  • dedup_scanned_size_kb: Backup Scanned Size with deduplication in kb

  • deduplication_ratio: Deduplication ratio

You can create report using recreate_base_views.sql SQL view.

Resolves an issue with Backup RTO RPO Compliance report where NetBackup IT Analytics displayed incorrect date for Recovery Date column. The Recovery Date was incorrectly calculated in case of Cumulative Incr Backup values.

SC-57935

Resolves an issue with Storage Lifecycle Policy (SLP). When generating the RTD report, NetBackup IT Analytics displayed Full Backup as the value of job type column when the event was active, which was incorrect. However, when the event of the policy was completed, the value of the job type column was displayed as Duplication, which is correct.

Resolves an issue with NetBackup SLP Status By Client and NetBackup SLP Status By Image Copy reports in which there was data inconsistency.

Resolves an issue with execution with Client Exclude Include List probe. This probe now skips exclude/include data collection from VMware, HyperV, RHEV, Nutanix, AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes workloads.

Configure the advanced parameter NBU_CLNT_EXC_INC_SKIP_POLICY_TYPE_IDS to add comma separated policy id(s) of any additional workload(s) for which you'd like to skip exclude/include data collection.

SC-54244

The NetBackup Event Monitor probe is enhanced to support collection of near real-time Media Server connection status. Also, a new NetBackup Media Server Connection Status alert rule has been incorporated. You can create an alert using this rule. The new alert will function only when the data collector resides on the NetBackup primary. However, for remote NetBackup Primary, the existing Media Server Connection alert rule that triggers on Host Discovery and Collection, is required.

The Inventory Details Probe is enhanced to persist TSM Server Status metrics using apt_v_tsm_server_status_metrics and apt_tsm_server_status_metrics SQL View.

Resolves an issue with the data collector upgrade process. Due to slow internet connection, the data collector upgradation fails during the downloading of upgrade bundles from the portal server. Alternatively, you can now pre-download the upgrade bundles from the portal server and then initiate the data collector upgrades.
