Performing a user-directed backup of SharePoint Server and SharePoint Foundation
This topic describes how to perform a user-directed backup of SharePoint Server and SharePoint Foundation.
To back up SharePoint resources
- Log onto the server as Administrator.
- Open the Backup, Archive, and Restore interface.
- Choose File > Select Files and Folders to Back Up.
- In the Backup window, in the All Folders pane, expand Microsoft SharePoint Resources.
- Select the object(s) to back up.
- Choose Actions > Backup.
- In the Backup Files dialog box, click Start Backup.
If you want to view the progress of the backup, click Yes. If you do not want to view the progress of the backup, click No.
