Uninstalling OWA 2000 Extensions

The following steps summarize the process for removing Enterprise Vault OWA 2000 Extensions from front-end and back-end Exchange Servers.

Summary of steps to remove OWA 2000 Extensions

  1. On back-end Exchange 2000 computers, run the Enterprise Vault OWA Extensions configuration script (Backend2000Setup.wsf) with the /remove switch. This removes virtual directories, forms registrations, and proxy bypass list configuration.

You run the script on back-end Exchange 2000 computers only. On front-end Exchange 2000 computers, the extensions are installed but do not need to be configured.

  2. On front-end and back-end Exchange 2000 computers, complete the removal of the extensions using Add\Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and then manually remove configuration and log files.

A detailed description of these steps is given in the following section:

OWA 2000: Steps for uninstalling OWA 2000 Extensions.

If the uninstall fails for some reason, see the following technical note for detailed instructions on how to remove the extensions configuration manually:
