Getting a static IP address if pinging is unsuccessful
If you ping an address and the address does not respond, you can use the ipconfig /all command to determine the correct IP address.

To get an IP address if the ping is unsuccessful
- On the computer that contains the recovery point that you want to restore, at a DOS prompt, type the following command, and then press Enter.
ipconfig /all
- Write down the IP address that is displayed.
Return to the computer that is running the Veritas System Recovery Disk environment.
- In the Network panel of the Veritas System Recovery Disk environment, click Ping a Remote Computer and use the IP address you wrote down.
