Configuring SFDB

By default, SFDB tools are disabled that is the vxdbd daemon is not configured. You can check whether SFDB tools are enabled or disabled using the/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config status command.

To enable SFDB tools

  1. Log in as root.
  2. On SLES 15 systems, install the insserv-compat package manually. This package is required to enable the vxdbd daemon.
  3. Run the following command to configure and start the vxdbd daemon. After you perform this step, entries are made in the system startup so that the daemon starts on a system restart.

    #/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config enable

To disable SFDB tools

  1. Log in as root.
  2. Run the following command:

    #/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config disable
