Configuring SFDB
By default, SFDB tools are disabled that is the vxdbd daemon is not configured. You can check whether SFDB tools are enabled or disabled using the/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config status command.
To enable SFDB tools
- Log in as root.
- On SLES 15 systems, install the
insserv-compat
package manually. This package is required to enable thevxdbd
daemon. - Run the following command to configure and start the
vxdbd
daemon. After you perform this step, entries are made in the system startup so that the daemon starts on a system restart.#/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config enable
To disable SFDB tools
- Log in as root.
- Run the following command:
#/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config disable
