Installing Services for NFS on the Windows 2003 R2 SP2 media server (NetBackup for VMware)
To install Services for NFS on the Windows 2003 R2 SP2 media server
- Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
- Check Other Network File and Print Services and click Details.
- Check Microsoft Service for NFS and click Details.
- Install the components that apply to your configuration.
If the host is only a NetBackup media server, check the following components:
RPC External Data Representation
RPC Port Mapper
If you have a single host that functions as both the media server and the restore host, check the following components:
Client for NFS
Microsoft Services for NFS Administration
RPC External Data Representation
RPC Port Mapper
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- Click Next and complete the Windows Components Wizard.
- After the installation is complete, open Services in the Control Panel.
Depending on configuration of the host, verify that Client for NFS is running or is stopped and disabled:
For a host that has both the media server and the restore host, ensure Client for NFS is running.
For a host that is only a NetBackup media server, Client for NFS can be stopped and disabled.
