Deploying the HBase plug-in
The availability of the plug-in is not tied to any NetBackup release.
The following diagram provides an overview of how you can deploy the plug-in.
As illustrated in the diagram, to deploy the plug-in:
Prepare the HBase cluster for NetBackup.
Download the plug-in package from Veritas Entitlement Management System.
Install the plug-in on all the backup hosts.
Configure the BigData policy. This policy is introduced to:
Specify the application type.
Allow backing up of distributed multi-node environments.
Associate backup hosts.
Perform workload distribution.
Specify HBase table names to be protected
