Configure NetBackup Flex Appliances for Data Collection
Create a new application instance user account. Refer to Managing NetBackup application instance users in the Veritas Flex Appliance Getting Started and Administration Guide.
Add the sudoers file contents described in this document under See Configure NetBackup Sudo Access for NetBackup Data Collection. for the new application user account that was created. In the case of the Flex Appliance, this should be added to the
sudoers.d
file called "custom". Use the following command to add it:visudo -f /mnt/nbdata/vxos/etc/sudoers.d/custom
Verify if the
custom
file exists at/etc/sudoers.d/
location. If exists, verify the content in the custom file, as mentioned in the previous step.If the file does not exists, create
custom
file in/etc/sudoers.d/
and update the file with the content as specified in the step 3 of Configure NetBackup Sudo Access for NetBackup Data Collection.Use the following command to add it:
visudo -f /etc/sudoers.d/custom
