Before you begin installing CloudPoint
Make sure that you complete the following before installing CloudPoint:
Decide where to install CloudPoint.
Note:
If you plan to install CloudPoint on multiple hosts, read this section carefully and understand the implications of this approach.
Ensure that your environment meets system requirements.
Create the instance on which you install CloudPoint or prepare the physical host.

Install a container platform
Create and mount a volume to store CloudPoint data.

Verify that specific ports are open on the instance or physical host.
Note:
RedHat 8.x has replaced the Docker ecosystem with the Podman ecosystem. Hence, for deploying CloudPoint on a RHEL8.5 or 8.4 hosts See Installing CloudPoint in the Podman environment.. For RHEL 7.x hosts See Installing CloudPoint in the Docker environment.
