Jason Young is Head of the Direct Investments Group (North America) for GIC, the sovereign wealth fund of Singapore. He is a member of the Investment Committee and also leads the firm’s global technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector. Jason serves on the boards of Neustar, Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk) and Veritas Technologies and previously served on the boards of BMC Software and Turnitin.
Prior to joining GIC, Jason was a Principal at Silver Lake Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm. During his time at Silver Lake, he helped establish the firm’s offices in Asia. Previously, he was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Jason graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology with a B.S. from the Wharton School and a B.S.E. from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
