      Troubleshooting NetApp agents

Phantom agent

The Phantom agent enables VCS to determine the status of parallel service groups that do not include OnOff resources (resources that VCS starts and stops as required.) The Phantom agent provides a "dummy" resource that can be brought online and taken offline. Without such a dummy resource, VCS cannot assess the status of service groups containing only None (Persistent) and OnOnly resources because the state of these resources is not considered in the process of determining whether a group is online.
