Configuring RBAC
To configure role-based access control for the NetBackup web UI, perform the following steps.
Table:
Step | Action | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Reassign NetBackup 8.2 users to new RBAC roles. | If you upgraded from NetBackup 8.2 to NetBackup 8.3, you need to create new roles for existing users and for API key users. See Upgrading API key users to NetBackup 8.3. |
2 | Configure any Active Directory or LDAP domains. | Before you can add domain users, Active Directory or LDAP domains must be authenticated with NetBackup. |
3 | Determine the permissions that your users need. | Determine the permissions that your users need to perform their daily tasks. See Role permissions. |
4 | Configure the RBAC roles. | Create the roles that are needed. See Add an RBAC role. |
