Understanding the System Reliability Scores (SRS)
System reliability of a Veritas appliance can be defined as a degree to which a system, including all hardware, firmware, and software of an appliance, will perform as expected during a specific duration and in a specific environment, without any downtime or additional support. Veritas Predictive Insights' cloud-based AI/ML engine helps in achieving the best possible system reliability by generating a System Reliability Score (SRS) for each appliance and providing recommendations to improve the SRS.
When the Call Home feature is enabled on a Veritas appliance, telemetry is periodically collected and processed by the AI/ML engine, generating a System Reliability Score (SRS) for each appliance. The SRS is presented on the appliance's dashboard within the portal and can be used by the Veritas appliances support personnel, as well as the customer. Based on the SRS and the recommendations, you can take proactive actions as identified by the analytics. The SRS recommendations can include the notifications to install a patch, to acquire maintenance support for the appliance, to dispatch the personnel for prescribed service calls etc.
