Notes on policies
Before you configure a policy, note the following.
NetBackup product must be installed on primary server(s) and clients.
For the NetBackup Media Server off-host backup methods, a Fibre Channel network or multi-ported SCSI disk array must be configured.
Storage devices must be configured (you can use the Device Configuration Wizard).
Encryption and compression are supported, but are applied only to the backup copy that is written to a storage unit. The snapshot itself is neither compressed nor encrypted.
Ensure that the number of LUNs exposed to the HBAs, do not reach the maximum limit during any snapshot related operations.
