Dialog box might become unresponsive when you configure MSDP KMS encryption
When you configure MSDP KMS encryption and enter invalid characters, the dialog box might become unresponsive.
Workaround: You must configure MSDP encryption using valid ASCII characters. If you enter invalid characters and the dialog box becomes unresponsive, you can forcibly close the dialog box:
Windows
Use the Task Manager to close the unresponsive NetBackup Administration Console.
UNIX
Use the following command to get the process ID:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpps | grep NBJAVA | grep -v nbwmc
Run the kill command.
Restart the NetBackup Administration Console, delete the storage server where the error occurred. Reconfigure MSDP KMS with valid characters.
For more information about the supported characters, refer to the About the NetBackup Deduplication Engine credentials topic in the NetBackup Deduplication Guide.
