Enterprise Vault™ Using the Enterprise Vault Analytics Connector
When the connector processes items
Items are processed by the Storage Crawler and the Analytics Connector when they are indexed or re-indexed. Items are indexed or re-indexed in the following situations:
After the item is initially stored in an archive.
After Move Archive is used to move the contents of one archive to another.
When the item's archive index or index volume is rebuilt using the Manage Indexes wizard.
When the item's archive index is synchronized using the Manage Indexes wizard. If new items are found in the archive, these are indexed.
If the Enterprise Vault classification feature is implemented, classification index properties are applied to items during the archiving and indexing process.
In addition, classification tags may be applied to items when the items expire or are deleted by a user. Enterprise Vault does not automatically re-index such items. If the items do not currently exist in the index, then the index properties will be added during an index synchronization, and the connector will process them then. If the items do exist in the index, then the connector will not process any new index properties until you rebuild the index.
