VEA GUI cannot be launched after an upgrade from the 6.1 products to the applicable InfoScale 7.4 products
The VEA GUI fails to launch after you perform any of the following upgrades (3948442):
6.1 product | 7.4 product |
---|---|
SFW Basic | InfoScale Foundation |
SFW | InfoScale Foundation or InfoScale Storage |
DMP | InfoScale Foundation or InfoScale Storage |
This issue occurs because the Veritas Product Installer fails to overwrite the existing jvm.dll
file, which is typically located at C:\Program Files\Veritas\VERITAS Object Bus\jre\bin\client
, with its newer version.
Workaround: Either rename or delete the existing jvm.dll
file before you upgrade from SFW 6.1 or DMP 6.1 to InfoScale Foundation 7.4 or InfoScale Storage 7.4 .
Note:
This issue is not applicable in case of upgrade to InfoScale Enterprise 7.4.
