Creating the data directories for 250-TB MSDP support

NetBackup requires that each storage volume contain a directory named data.

You must create the data directories on the second and third volumes that are required for 250-TB support. (NetBackup creates the required data directory on the volume that you specify in the Storage Server Configuration Wizard.)

Prerequisite

To create the data directories for 250-TB MSDP support

  • In both the second and third volumes for the Media Server Deduplication Pool, create a data subdirectory at the volumes's mount points, as follows:

    mount_point/data

    The following is an example of the mount points for the three required storage volumes:

    /msdp/vol0  <--- Netbackup creates the data directory in this volume
/msdp/vol1  <--- Create a data directory in this volume
/msdp/vol2  <--- Create a data directory in this volume
