About upgrading the SharePoint components

This chapter describes how to upgrade Enterprise Vault SharePoint components.

Note:

You must upgrade the SharePoint components. The version of the SharePoint components must match the version of Enterprise Vault that is installed on the Enterprise Vault servers.

The upgrade path depends on your version of SharePoint, as follows:

  • You can upgrade Enterprise Vault components on any of the following:

    • Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010

    • Microsoft SharePoint 2010

    • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013

    • Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013

    • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016

  • If you have started a gradual migration to upgrade SharePoint, finish the migration before you upgrade Enterprise Vault.
