Note:
The vrtsconnectionTrap applies only to the NetBackup 53xx appliances.
Description
The vrtsconnectionTrap monitors the status of the connections between the appliance, the Primary Storage Shelf, and the Expansion Storage Shelf. If you receive an alert, it means that one or more of the cables is not installed correctly or is not functional.
Resolution
Check the Fibre Channel connections between the appliance and the primary shelf and the SAS connections between the primary shelf and the expansion shelf. If all cables are installed correctly and are functional, contact Veritas Support for assistance.
