File Change Log record

The FCL records contain information about these typical changes:

  • The inode number of the file that has changed

  • The time of change

  • The type of change

  • Optional information depending on the record type

    Depending on the record type, the FCL record may also include the following information:

    • A parent inode number

    • A filename for file deletes, links, and similar operations

    • A command name for a file open record

    • The actual statistics for an I/O statistics record
