Connecting the network cables
The networking ports are accessed on the rear panel of the device. The remote management port is for use by Veritas Technical Support staff or by approved field service technicians.
The following picture shows the layout of the network ports. It includes the four 10 Gb Ethernet ports on the right.
The remote management (IPMI) port is located to the left of the 10 Gb Ethernet ports.
In a Flex appliance, by default, host0 is used to perform all the network management after the configuration is complete.
Once the initial configuration has been completed, you can connect host0 to an administrative network that does not provide any backup data transfer.
Note:
You cannot bond the copper 10 GbE ports that are installed in the appliance chassis with optical ports on PCIe 10/25 GbE cards.
