Recabling to connect additional storage shelves
When storage shelves are added to an appliance that already has at least one storage shelf you need to reroute one existing cable connection. You also need to install the new cables that ship with the additional storage shelf or shelves. Each storage shelf ships with two 2-meter SAS-3 cables.
The following sections provide cable instructions for an appliance and a total of four storage shelves. The instructions are the same for five or six storage shelves.
