NetBackup status code: 4226
Explanation: NetBackup cannot communicate with the Snapshot Manager.
Recommended Action: Verify the following:
Ensure that the correct Snapshot Manager is registered with the correct port number.
If the Snapshot Manager host name or port number is changed, ensure that it is updated in NetBackup.
Ensure that the Snapshot Manager host name is accessible from the media server. To verify, try to log on to the Snapshot Manager host from the browser of the media server.
Verify if the media server or Snapshot Manager certificates are invalid or missing. The certificates are not generated if the Snapshot Manager was configured to skip certificate generation by adding the following entry in
/cloudpoint/flexsnap.conf
file: [client_registration] skip_certificate_generation = yesPerform the following to generate the certificates:
Ensure that the primary server hostname is accessible from the Snapshot Manager. To verify, try to log on to the Snapshot Manager and telnet to the primary server using ports 1556 and 443.
If you use private names for installing certificates and communicating with NetBackup, which have to be resolved using
/etc/hosts
, perform the following:Add entries similar to
/etc/hosts
file in the/cloudpoint/openv/etc/hosts
file.Ensure that you use the same private name during the Snapshot Manager installation as well as the Snapshot Manager registration.
Remove the following entry from
/cloudpoint/flexsnap.conf
file:[client_registration] skip_certificate_generation = yes
Re-register Snapshot Manager in the Cloud workload, using the Snapshot Manager tab in the web UI.
