Now Available—Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option 9.7
The latest version of Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option, the user-centric backup solution that provides flexible implementation and centralized administration for backup and recovery of Windows and Mac desktops and laptops in an organization, is now available.
Veritas Desktop and Laptop Option 9.7 provides key capabilities and usability enhancements with this release. The VxUpdate feature allows the administrator to check and perform any updates available for the currently installed version of the DLO.
In addition to this, the feature includes an option to update some of the key Third-Party components. This release also provides the Remote Wipe feature that allows the administrator to remotely delete the User data from the Backup Selections and uninstall DLO Agent, in scenarios of decommissioning a user machine.
With DLO 9.7, the administrator can customize the ports for Edge Server, IO Server, and Dedupe Servers during fresh installations. Other enhancements include the backup exclusion for files/folders with name/path more than 200 characters, new user notification for file/folder excluded from the backup, and a detailed list of users/computers with 100% backup completed, at least once.
DLO Mac agents are now notarized, thereby ensuring compliance with Apple's safety guidelines.
