Explanation: WORM storage devices may impose a limitation on the duration of lock times. Choosing a retention period (or retention level), that isn't within the allowed range of the storage volume, results in an image which cannot be WORM locked.
Recommended Action: The following procedure may be necessary once you are sure that the retention level matches the range the underlying the storage volume allows. This procedure only applies if the NetBackup Administration Console is in use to create the policy.
To adjust the retention level
- Save the policy schedule with the desired retention level, but with storage selected as any available.
- Edit the policy again, and now select the desired storage unit in the policy attributes.
