In previous versions of Veritas Alta SaaS Protection, before 2.16.1 and 2.16.1, upgrading services (Connector service, Export service, and Retrieval service) required Windows Administrator credentials.
Veritas Alta SaaS Protection 2.16.1 release onwards, this step is no longer necessary for service upgrades.
However, if you change the password for the Windows Administrator between releases, you may encounter issues after upgrading to the next release. Specifically, the services may fail to start. In such cases, you must manually update the password for the targeted service.
