Performing an on-demand/ad-hoc backup
Performing ad hoc backups involves running backups on-demand, outside of a regular backup schedule.
To perform an on-demand/ad-hoc backup
- Access the Administration portal.
- Click Administration > Connectors.
- Click within the row of the required connector for which backup has to be performed.
Note:
You can search for the required connector by entering its name in the Filter by name field.
- Click Backup now at the upper left of the page.
- On the Backup now page, click Backup.
The following actions happen:
The backup is started. The status of the connector is changed to Running.
The number in the Last backup count column keeps increasing as per the number of items are backed up (not applicable for the Salesforce connector).
The registered email addresses receive, errors details if any or success email after completion of the backup.
On successful completion of the backup, the status of the connector changes to Completed.
The status can be Completed with Errors if the backup is not successful.
If required, the backup can be canceled using the Stop Backup option on the Connector service.
Note:
The time it takes to perform a backup can vary depending on the size of the data being backed up.
See Connector page .
