Hybrid Modern Authentication (HMA)
Hybrid Modern Authentication is a method of identity management that offers more secure user authentication and authorization. It is available for Office 365 hybrid deployments of Skype for Business server on-premises and Exchange server on-premises, SharePoint Online, and split-domain Skype for Business hybrids. This method provides users the ability to access the on-premises application using authorization tokens obtained from the cloud. For Exchange, on-premises mailbox users can use these tokens for authentication to on-premises Exchange. For more information, see the Microsoft article.
Veritas has validated the Hybrid Modern Authentication method for Enterprise Vault and supports it with Enterprise Vault 14.1 and later. For more information, refer to https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100050874.
Note:
Support for OAuth (Modern Authentication) is pending for the Veritas Enterprise Vault Mac client.
