2) System Settings
System Settings contains the following information:
Global Post Review If Pre Review is configured, this mechanism allows an Administrator to quickly swap monitored email addresses quickly between Pre Review and Post Review settings. The Outbound Global Post Review setting applies to email address rules in the Outbound Address Editor. This setting controls the email address whose Email Rule is set to Global. For example, when the Email Rule for an email address is set to Global:
If
is set to Post Review, then all non-compliant outbound emails are delivered to their end recipient(s), and a copy is placed in the Post Review folderIf
is set to Pre Review, then all non-compliant outbound emails are placed in the Pre Review folder and are not delivered to their end recipient(s)
Suppose an administrator has 100 email addresses whose Email Rule is set to Global and the Global Outbound Rule is set to Post Review. Due to a policy change they need to be set to Pre Review. That is, the administrator needs to change the Global Post Review setting to Pre Review.
The Inbound Global Post Review setting applies to all inbound emails from addresses not already governed by a rule on the Inbound Address Editor. For example:
If
is set to Post Review, then all non-compliant inbound emails are delivered to their end recipients and a copy is placed in the Post Review folder. If
is set to Pre Review, then all non-compliant inbound emails are placed in the Pre Review folder and are not delivered to their end recipients.
These fields are non-editable and permanently set to Post Review if AdvisorMail has not been configured for Pre Review capabilities.
Email Hold Time The Email Hold Time limits the number of time auditors have to review emails trapped in the Pre Review folder. This feature ensures that a trapped email is not held for excessive periods of time without resolution. The default setting for this feature is 2 days, 12 hours. Modify this setting in the System Administrator account. The settings define how long AdvisorMail holds the email in the Pre Review folder before it returns it with predefined comments to the original sender.
The Auto-Approve check allows an Administrator to redirect all inter-domain (usually inter-company) emails to the Approved folder. This tool reduces the auditor's workload by preventing non-compliant emails between company members from appearing in the Post or Pre Review folders for review. Organizations activate this feature when they are not concerned with monitoring the communication between their own staff.
This setting applies only if the domain of the sender matches the domain of every recipient.
