3) Advanced Search Options
The Advanced Search mechanism lets you quickly and easily locate emails based on a number of different search terms.
The fields available in the Advanced Search mechanism are:
- Include the entire subject or any word that is contained within it.
- Include the entire email address or any portion of it.
- Include the entire email address or any portion of it.
- Click the down arrow to select an individual Auditor or All Auditors.
Notes - There are three settings for Notes:
- Only display messages with Notes.
- Only display messages without Notes.
- Display messages with and without Notes.
Attachments - There are three settings for Attachments:
- Only display messages with attachments.
- Only display messages without attachments.
- Display messages with and without attachments.
Date Range Options which include:
- Selecting this button automatically fills in the date range using the current date (Start Date = Current Date, End Date = Current Date).
- Selecting this button automatically fills in the date range with the current week (End Date = Current Date, Start Date = 7 days before).
- Selecting this button automatically fills in the date range with the current month (End Date = Current Date, Start Date = 30 days before).
- Selecting this button automatically fills in the date range with the current year (End Date = Current Date, Start Date = one year before).
- Selecting this button automatically displays all emails in your archive (Start Date = 01/01/2000, End Date = Current Date).
- Selecting this button lets you enter your own date range. The Start Date cannot be a date after the End Date.
Selecting multiple filters is the same as adding an "AND" to your search criteria. When you have entered all the search parameters, click the Search button to run the search. If Persistent Filtering is set to On on the Display Preferences page, the filters that are selected apply during folder to folder navigation.
Once you have entered your search parameters, you must click the Search button to perform the search.
