Configuring the Export utility
Use the following procedure to configure Export Utility.
To configure the Export utility
- Click Start > Veritas Alta SaaS Protection > Export utility.
- Enter the required details and enter the URL of the StoreSite of your tenant.
Note:
It is the root URL of the Administration portal. Example https://tenantname-azureregion-onhubstor.azurewebsites.net
Note:
These settings are saved in your profile so that you do not need to enter them each time the Export utility is launched.
- Enter the email address of the service account with the proper permissions in Veritas Alta SaaS Protection.
- Enter proxy settings if required.
- Click Advanced Settings and configure the following options.
Direct Read Threshold (MiB)
Set a threshold for bulk file downloads.
Direct Read Download Threads
Set a number of threads to use for chunked file downloads.
Direct Read Download Buffer Size (MiB)
Set the size of file chunks to be used while data chunking.
Item Job Threads
Set the number of threads that are required to handle the backup job.
Copy Buffer Size (Bytes)
Set the buffer size to copy data.
A higher buffer size may increase export performance but when you export to a network drive bit it consumes more resources. For example: 65536 (64 KiB. It is the default value), 1048576 (1 MiB), 2097152 (2 MiB), 5242880 (5 MiB).
Use Download Throttling
Select the check box if you want to control the data download rate from Veritas Alta SaaS Protection.
Non-Peak Hours Max Download (Mbps)
Set the value in Mbps.
Peak Hours Max Download (Mbps)
Set the value in Mbps.
Peak Hours Start
Set the start time for the peak hour.
Peak Hours End
Set the end time of the peak hour.
Enable Diagnostics Logging
Select this check box if you want to get additional information in the event logs.
- After making any changes, click OK.
- Click Next.
