NetBackup status code: 5989
Explanation: The host names that are used during the installation and re-installation are different; however, the host names are associated with same host ID. This can happen if the host name used earlier is a shortname and the one used now is in FQDN or vice versa. You need to identify the host record in the NetBackup Administration Console, using the tab or the nbhostmgmt command and use the host ID to generate the reissue token. You can also ensure that the client name of the host matches the one in the above listing.
Recommended Action: To deploy a certificate using this new name, you need to provide a reissue token for the existing host ID. For successful re-installation using the new host name, ensure the following:
If the host has an active certificate, revoke it.
The host names are mapped to the associated host ID. In the NetBackup Administration Console, use the tab or the nbhostmgmt command to add mappings.
The client name for the host matches the primary host name associated with the issued host ID.
Note:
If you want to deploy a certificate on a host with a host name that matches an existing host ID-to-host name mapping of another host, you must either delete the existing host ID-to-host name mapping and retry the operation or add a new host in the host database.
For more information on how to add a host, see the NetBackup Security and Encryption Guide.
