8) Selecting Records
Many pages of AdvisorMail display multiple records: all Email Archive folders, most Compliance Editor pages, most Admin pages, etc. When a record or records are selected, they appear shaded in blue with a checked box on the left side of each selection.
Choose the record selection method that works best for you:
Left Mouse Click - click the empty box next to your desired selection to pick one or more messages. A check mark then appears in the box(es).
Control Left Mouse Click - hold the Control key down, and click anywhere on a message line to select a message. A check mark displays in the box on the left side of the message.
Shift Left Mouse Click - to select a range of messages, click your first message, and hold the Shift key down. Move to the last item in your selection and then click the left mouse button anywhere on the message. The entire selection then appears highlighted light blue. BONUS: You can also left click the first record, and then drag the mouse down to the last one while holding down the left button.
Page Select All - click the check box on the table header. (Set the number of items per page in the Preferences section.)
You may have to use the scroll bar to see all of the selected messages when you use the Page Select All check box.
Note:
Be careful. Once you have selected a range of messages, clicking your mouse on any item outside the check boxes removes all selections.
Deselecting Messages
Click any checked box to deselect it (you can make multiple de-selections).
Uncheck the Page Select All check box on the upper left-hand side to clear the entire page of selections. A blank check box then appears.
Click anywhere on any record. All other selections are deselected and the record you click is the only record selected.
